The upcoming smartphone Sony Ericsson Nozomi is continuously in rumour mill so now it’s not enjoying ambiguity. Again it is in rumour for it’s officially announcement event which is scheduled for next week at CES.

As per the recent leaked images the handset is not looking like very high quality smartphone. Even some internal features has been also leaked out from screenshot of the Quadrant benchmarking app. The rumoured specs include 1.5GHz single core processor, 12 megapixel camera and coming with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

In fact the handset will launch with the name Sony Ericsson Xperia HD as per the ITProPortal analysis. Sadly there will be no microSD card support for external memory so you have to manage with its internal storage.

The latest rumour is moving around the Sony Ericsson after its latest announcement on Twitter & Facebook. The company is planning to unveil their first smartphone of this year at CES, which starts in Las Vegas next week.

Sony Ericsson’s two smartphones is already in rumour mill from last two months one is the Nozomi & the other one is Nyphon. As per the previous reports the Nyphon will be first phone with Sony logo instead of Sony Ericsson. So we are expecting that Sony Ericsson Nozomi will be the next flagship of Sony Ericsson. One other expected handset is the new HD Android smartphone in the form of Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD.

It’s completely uncertain so keep guessing which one is about to arrive. In any case if we got any info regarding this we will let you know.

From its front profile, it is fairly a gorgeous looking handset with much same layout as of Xperia X10. After turning the handset around by 45 degrees, we can see how the phone got its name.

The arc design reaches from the top to the bottom of the device and looks gorgeous as it measures just 8.7mm at its thinnest segment. You can even realize how this style will compliment the contours of your palm.

The Camera is of 8.1MP with image sensor, and it can also capture HD 720p videos. Your photos will display on the 4.1inches “Reality Display” which simply looks stunning. Overall size of this handset measures 125x63x8.7 mm.

The handset ships with the latest version of Android, at this point we’d consider this OS to be gingerbread but it’s all depending on release dates. The handset has a 1GZ processor, which is standard now in the latest Android handsets. The Arc has only 512mb of internal memory which isn’t a great deal but the handset ship with an 8GB memory card and can be upgraded to 32GB. All these advanced and interesting features are to be expected from a new High End Android handset and may leave you wanting more in terms or processing power.

Sony’s long-rumored PlayStation Phone could soon become a reality. The company will launch a device blending the features of a PlayStation Portable and cell phone in the spring of 2011. The device will be based on the PSP go and will retain the PSP’s know gaming controls, the report said. The PSP go is a smaller edition of the PlayStation handy and went on sale in late 2009. It associates Sony’s PlayStation Network to relies on a Wi-Fi link for downloads of software, music and movies. Despite wide-ranging promotion by Sony, sales of the PSP go have been weak and the company has been looking for a way to boost demand.

The new device is being developed by Sony Ericsson and will go on sale. “The report isn’t based on anything that we have announced,” said Ayano Higuchi, a spokeswoman for Sony. Sony has been avoiding comment on the PlayStation Phone for several months.

The device that carries the PlayStation’s DNA and match Sony’s vision of gaming, which is different to those of companies developing Android and iPhone games. Sony typically uses the annual event to introduce its plans in the first half of the year.

The recently disclosed Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 a.k.a Anzu sounded like a killer gadget till today. According to sources, the “James Bond of Cellphone” the upcoming Android won’t release with Android Gingerbread but instead Android 2.2 Froyo.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 without Android Gingerbread

The device won’t sport a 1GHz processor but instead an 800MHz one similar to the T-Mobile G2 and HTC Desire Z.
It has a 12-megapixel camera, large 4.3-inch display with 854 x 480 resolutions that matches the HTC Evo 4G and 720p video recording capability.

While the vanilla Android 2.1 has installed on the prototype device in lab is burning fast despite the 800MHz processor, he states that it will most likely come with the Sony Ericsson UI overlay (Timescape, Mediascape, etc.) which will know doubt cause lag on the Android.

Murtazin is wrong on this one, otherwise all eyes will once again point to Samsung and its Nexus S and Galaxy 2.

Sony Xperia X12 Anzu which excited us as the potential flagship device to Google’s upcoming OS update – Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Unfortunately, it seems that ideal is now out the window, after more specs beyond simply having a picture of the device which was reported to have a 4.3-inch screen have shown that the newest Google OS version will not be already on the device. This news comes courtesy of Russian reviewer Eldar Murtazin who had managed to get a look at a preview unit at a secret lab. The preview unit reportedly had Android 2.1 installed on it, but was told that the device will be released on Android 2.2 Froyo with Gingerbread coming out as an update later on.

As far as other specs to expect from upcoming Sony Ericsson device; the 4.3-inch display which we mentioned in the last leak is reportedly 854 x 480 LCD touchscreen, and the rumored 1080p video recording seems to be untrue with the new report saying that the 12-megapixel camera will only be capable of recording 720p video.

Eldar also expects Sony Ericsson to be adding their own customization on top of the Android interface, and also seems disappointed in the build of the device as a whole, claiming that although the device feels thinner and lighter than the X10, it also feels cheaper to the touch. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 Anzu seems a bit hit and miss at the moment, but we’re going to have to wait until a later date when a non-prototype model is reviewed before making any final decisions on the handset.

And so is this a pocket-sized device that has 3.3×2×0.6 in. and weighs 3.1 oz. It comes in two versions: the conventional variant and a professional model that also includes a QWERTY physical keyboard and so weighs 1.1 oz more.

Both devices control by Synaptic ClearPad 2000 capacitive touchscreen and a Samsung 2.6-in.The Xperia X10 mini offers IEEE 802.11b/g Wi-Fi as another wireless-connectivity option. Like the battery in Apple’s iPhone 3GS, the Xperia’s battery delivers approximately 53-mAhr/gram storage capacity.

Qualcomm’s chip set also comprises the PM7540 power-management IC and the RTR6285 UMTS HSPA transceiver and AGPS receiver. Cellular-network-support options include GSM, GPRS, and EDGE at 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz; UMTS HSDPA at 900 and 2100 MHz; UMTS HSDPA at 850, 1900, and 2100 MHz; and UMTS HSUPA at 850, 1900, and 2100 MHz’s.

The chip is a multidie mass packed with flash memory but also 2 Gbits of DRAM. MicroSD support enables Xperia X10 mini owners to somewhat augment the handset’s built-in nonvolatile-memory capacity the Android operating system currently allows only data storage— not application installation—on removable memory modules.
