An operating system bump for the Samsung Galaxy S has finally arrived after a very long wait. Samsung Galaxy S owners can now upgrade their smartphone to Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS, which brings in some performance upgrade as well as bug fixes.
The upgrade’s most enthralling additions will be some camera enhancements, boosted battery life and improvement to the general performance for an all round smoother smartphone experience. The Android OS upgrade currently will only be available for the owners who have bought their Galaxy S SIM free, while the rest have to wait for their respective networks to incorporate the software with its services.
The bump is available right now via Samsung’s download proprietor Kies. It is advisable to back up all your data and to use Wi-Fi rather than 3G if you don’t want to blow your bill up.
