Samsung Galaxy S2 owners can be ready to experience the all new Ice Cream Sandwich as soon as next month, it has been reported. The update will be available for Galaxy S2 on all carriers.
There was previously talks of Samsung Galaxy S2 getting the get the ICS bump latest by January next year. However the prospect of having the upgrade available sooner will surely enthrall the ten million Galaxy S2 owners.
The most anticipated features of ICS are the newly revampeds UI, novel screen unlock mechanism using face recognition technology and an improved multi tasking interface. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the first smartphone to debut the Ice Cream Sandwich when it hit the stores on November 17th, after which the update will be released for other manufacturers to customize it for their own platforms.
