According to reports Amazon is all set to launch its Kindle Tablet in the UK, come this January in 2012. The news comes as a surprise as Amazon will miss the end of season Christmas sales in UK by launching the tablet next month.
Amazon Appstore for UK will also be released soon after the Kindle tablet launch, but there is no exact date for that. Amazon Kindle has already been launched in US on November 15th with the device available for pre-orders from September 28 on Amazon’s website. Kindle Fire is available for £127 in US, the tablet is expected to be priced slightly higher than that over here in UK.
The Kindle Fire sports a 7 inch IPS ultra-wide display and runs a customized version of the Android operating system. Kindle Fire packs a dual core processor and weighs 14.6 oz. Amazon provides the cloud service, where all of its data is backed up so the users can delete things when they want. The content available includes 100,000 movies, 100,000 TV shows, Amazon Appstore, million songs, e-books and magazines.
